Kanye West cancels European tour due to 'ongoing health issues' one month after his breakdown

RAPPER Kanye West was rushed to the UCLA Medical Center on Monday after suffering a breakdown on November 21.

And now according to US reports, the 39 year old has cancelled his European tour dates as a result of his ongoing health concerns.

The Famous singer was released from hospital at the end of November after receiving treatment for exhaustion and sleep deprivation.

Since then it was reported that the star had been receiving outpatient treatment at an L.A. area rental, while his wife Kim Kardashian West resides in their Bel Air mansion.

But according to PEOPLE, the performer is waiting until he is completely healthy before returning back to work.

"Fitness – physical and mental – are essential to him being able to be restored fully and cleared to work,” a source told the publication.

"He has health issues that need to be resolved prior to returning to work.”

And while there had been fears that Kanye’s cancellation could put a serious strain on his finances, the source insists that the star will be fine.

"He reinvests a lot of his earnings into his companies,” the source continued.

"A lot of what he does he finances himself.

"Money that comes in from touring, he uses to finance his fashion stuff.

"When he talked about being $50 million in debt that was prior to the massive Adidas deal that he did and this wildly successful tour, and all the merch he was selling night after night.

"He's had an incredible, massive year, financially.”

The insider then went on to add that Kim had also been able to help her husband with his financial dealings.

"Kim's always advised him on his businesses,” the source said.

“He's always talked about her business acumen - how she's a great businesswoman and he's learned so much from her.”

Kanye and Kim recently faced rumours that their marriage was on the rocks, after it was reported they were attending couple counselling.

But now it has been stated that the pair are NOT in counselling over their marriage, but are attending therapy separately.

An insider reported that their bond is “still very strong” despite their marriage hitting a rough patch.
